Sturgis First United Methodist Church is a dynamic congregation committed to Make and Grow Disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World! We seek to ignite Christ-centered community through excellent traditional and contemporary worship, small group discipleship, and compassionate mission. Sue Babb was born and raised in Grove City, PA (which is approximately 50 miles north of Pittsburgh). She graduated from Grove City Area School. She has a bachelor's degree in Biology from Slippery Rock University. She has a masters degree in divinity from United Theological Seminary. She is an ordained elder in the Michigan Area Annual Conference. She has served as pastor of churches in West Ohio and Michigan Annual Conferences. She is married to the late Mark Babb. She has a dog, Keisha who comes to the church everyday and gets plenty of attention from everyone! Rev. Sue Babb, Pastor Marty Barnard, Custodian

Marty Barnard is a fantastic custodian and can be seen around the church early in the morning cleaning, putting tables up and down, setting up chairs, and sometimes even answering the phone. Kathy Cary, Organist

Leslie Gosling,  Assistant Organist

Kathy Cary is a renowned musician. She has been with our church since the beginning of time! She plays a variety of music on the organ, piano, and keyboard. She also directs the choir. Leslie Gosling is a great addition to our staff as our talented assistant organist.  She plays once a month and whenever Kathy is away.
